Mango Pineapple Salsa

Mango and pineapple have summer written all over them. These sweet tropical fruits are full of vitamins and minerals, they strengthen the immune system, they help lowering blood pressure and reduces the risk of cancer. Replace a traditional tomatensalsa with a spicy mango-pineapple salsa. Serve with tortilla chips.


  • 1 ripe mango, peeled, cored and diced small (about 2 cups)

  • 1 cup diced pineapple

  • ½ cup minced red onion

  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

  • 3 tablespoons lime juice

  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro

  • Salt, to taste


Mix together all of the ingredients and season with salt, to taste. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips. The salsa can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
