Masala chai latte is a delicious spicy drink that warms you and it is a good alternative to coffee. Of course you can also buy chai tea in ready-made bags, but making your own is just as much fun! You only need five minutes. Tasty, warming and incredibly healthy due to the many spices and because it is free of fast sugars.
Ingredients
2 cm freshly grated ginger
0,5 tsp cinnamon
6 cardamom pods (crushed)
Pinch of nutmeg
3 cloves
1 star anise
1 tsp tea of your choice
500 ml water
150 ml plantbased milk
2 tsp honey
Preparation
Boil the water with the spices for 5 minutes and add the tea for the last minute. Add milk and turn down the heat.
Pour everything through a fine sieve into two large mugs and add honey. Finish the chai latte with a little frothed milk and a pinch of cardamom.
